CN3S is looking to hire an adjunct professor that teaches courses in universities and community colleges in addition to evaluating students and conducting student conferences; the individual may also develop lectures, conduct seminars and serve other administrative rules within the department.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Meets with academic department chair to develop course-ware and curriculum.
  • Present prepared materials and supervises organized activities
  • Evaluate student performance promptly and accurately based on departmental metric standards
  • Coordinate with the college or university bookstore in order to ensure class material availability
  • Maintain records of student attendance, involvement, and progress.
  • Teach assigned class material in accordance with learning objectives that are developed by the department
  • Communicate with students outside of class to provide supplementary instruction, when necessary
  • Participate in faculty meetings involving departmental updates.
  • Serve on faculty panels
  • Make copies of supplementary materials for distribution in class
  • Survey students in order to obtain information about their wants and needs in certain courses

 

Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in a closely related field is required
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills; both oral and written
  • Exhibit a commitment to promoting academic excellence in students
  • Ability to positively motivate others
  • Has excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills that promotes results.
  • Demonstrates a high level of self-discipline and self-motivation.
  • Exudes a positive, supportive, and cooperative disposition toward others.
  • Punctual and detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to be goal oriented and task driven
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and federal background investigation
