SUMMARY
The purpose of the task order is to provide a professional service employee to provide administrative support services to the Afghanistan Special Immigrant Visa (ASIV) unit offshore support to Embassy Kabul in vetting applications for Chief of Mission approval, the first step of the Afghan Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program. The primary objective is to perform a variety of administrative support functions in a fast paced and highly rewarding position, facilitating the efficient operation of the unit and the SIV program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently transfers application data into the ASIV unit’s web-based case management system, including accurately transcribing names, application dates, and employment information for adjudication by unit case workers.
  • Uses Microsoft Outlook to monitor a shared office inbox, appropriately flagging messages for further action by ASIV unit personnel. Sends document verification requests by email to employers. Using Microsoft Office and Adobe, converts documents and emails to .pdf format as needed and uploads them.
  • Validates employer data by verifying points of contact, email addresses, and phone numbers. Updates ASIV’s web-based case management system and Microsoft Access with up-to-date information.
  • Provides administrative support for case-related correspondence to Embassy Kabul, including generating case statistics, preparing cover sheets, and proofreading documents using Microsoft Office. Generates correspondence and notification letters.
  • Compiles statistical data for unit quarterly and annual reports.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Manages other tasks authorized by Government Task Manager that fall within the scope of this task order.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
  • Excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.
