This is an outstanding opportunity to work for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in the Pentagon City area. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) requires administrative support services for the Human Resources Division's Workers' Compensation Office (HRES).

 

We are in need of a Administrative Professional to support our client.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor incoming DEA Workers' Compensation Outlook email account and referring action items to professional staff.
  • Maintain electronic database of incoming claim forms in Microsoft Access format and other workers' compensation records in both electronic and paper files.
  • Answer incoming calls, responding to non-technical inquiries regarding the Workers' Compensation Program (OWCP), taking messages, and transferring calls and searching the Department of Labor's Agency Query System to answer routine workers' compensation questions from claimants.
  • Type correspondence, letters, memoranda, and other workers' compensation related documents and forms generated by the professional staff; photocopying, faxing, and scanning records to disk; and preparing envelopes and packages to mail.
  • Enter new claims in Department of Veterans' Affairs Workers' Compensation Management Information Electronic Data Interface (EDI).
  • Set up case file folders for each claim received, and filing OWCP and other related compensation documents in appropriate case files (e.g., CA-l, CA·2, CA-6, CA·7, CA·l7, CA-20, medical documents and reports, and billing information).
  • Maintain a directory of division, office, and laboratory workers' compensation points of contact.
  • Assist the professional staff in protecting employee confidentiality of OWCP information.
  • Prepare records for archives by creating inventory sheets, boxing, and shipping documents.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills (English).
  • Able to comprehend and implement processes and procedures in accordance with the training provided by DEA.
  • Possess demonstrated experience or ability in analyzing, synthesizing, and disseminating intelligence information.
  • The ability to appreciate and adhere to requirements of the IC is required.
  •  Bachelor’s Degree or H.S. Diploma with 5 years administrative experience
