SUMMARY

Supports Cherokee Nation Management & Consulting’s client, the 96th Civil Engineer Group at Eglin AFB, Florida.  Provides administrative support to include word processing, scheduling, and office management functions.  Supports the project engineers as the on-site administrative and clerical specialist for the customer.  Fosters communication between the 96 CEG, Architectural & Engineering firms, Eglin AFB customers, Construction Contractors, the CNMC project delivery team, and other key stakeholders.  Prepare, and submit correspondence and observations in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for transmittal to the Project Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to 96th CEG as required.
  • Assist with strategic communication plans and associated products tailored to target audiences and stakeholders.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in support of communication initiatives.
  • Research and data gathering to build communication tools.
  • Assist in planning and executing high-level meetings and events, to include recording meeting minutes and developing meeting agendas, presentations and other informational materials.
  • Simultaneously conduct technical reviews of multiple design & construction projects
  • Performs other job related duties as required.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

Non-supervisory.  Reports to Program Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates Degree is highly desired; Bachelors Degree is desirable
  • 2-4 years administrative and clerical experience required
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze day to day correspondence and routine reports

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and interaction skills and possess a willingness to learn
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience writing and creating products
  • Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred
  • Department of Defense experience preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work will be onsite with clients at in an office environment.
  • The ability to pass a drug screen and background check is required.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
