We are seeking Administrative Support to support federally regulated research requirements to develop new medical products for the Warfighter including but not limited to support necessary to conduct clinical trials, analyze resulting data, and generate study reports.

The mission of our client, the Walter Reed Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), is to conduct biomedical research that is responsive to Department of Defense and U.S. Army requirements, and delivers lifesaving products including knowledge, technology, and medical materiel that sustain the combat effectiveness of the war fighter

Administrative Support 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties such as meeting coordination, scheduling, organizing telephone calls and emails, and performing other job-related duties assigned by the PI or their designee
  • Regularly serve as additional clerical support for the Program Manager (s) and PI
  • Assist with providing meeting agendas, preparing meeting minutes, and monitoring follow-up action items
  • Prepare and file necessary reports and program documents; manage documentation in an orderly system
  • Provide lab support for activities and events, including conference room set-up, A/V access and set-up, guest speaker support, etc.
  • Maintain and communicate calendar of events and ensure scheduling conflicts are avoided; participate in conducting lab tours for special visitors
  • Coordinate and prepare presentation materials (posters, PowerPoints, etc.) for conference activities and events, editing content and adding appropriate graphic and design elements
  • Assist with manage of communications activities to include updates to website
  • Schedule and attend team meetings

 

Supervisory/Management Authority

  • This position will not have supervisory authority.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • One to two years of administrative support with experience in managing filing systems, computer records, scientific and medical terminology, and scientific processes.
  • Undergraduate degree

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC)
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office productivity programs and Quicken

 

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a laboratory, office or clinical/hospital environment; possible evening and/or weekend hours. Requires work on military base with requirement for background investigation.
