The Army Geospatial Center (AGC) mission is to provide timely, accurate, and relevant geospatial information, capabilities, and domain expertise for Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE) implementation in support of unified operations.

Cherokee Nation Businesses is seeking a Program Manager for a contract with the Army Geospatial Center providing Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services, general engineering, technical operations and services in support of AGC and its customers, both in the continental United States (CONUS) and at other than continental United States (OCONUS). The position is located at the Army Geospatial Center in Alexandria, VA.

Support with:

  • GEOINT and C5ISR Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDTE) SETA Services
  • Information Technology (IT) Support Services
  • Preparation of Documentation for Geospatial Systems
  • Develop and Operate Test Suites for Army Mission Command (MC) Systems
  • GEOINT Services for the Army Geospatial Enterprise (AGE) and AGE Node

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a five year, $80M contract containing multiple task orders or CLINs providing GEOINT and geospatial systems engineering and technical assistance services.
  • Supervise four Key Personnel, including a Lead Geospatial Software Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, Senior Hardware Engineer, and Lead Geospatial Architect
  • Provide overall supervision for up to 40-70 staff supporting a wide range of task areas that includes services supporting:
  • complex engineering architectures and designs for Army and DOD GEOINT and GIS programs
  • testing for GEOINT and GIS hardware and software systems
  • integration of GEOINT and GIS technologies and systems into Army and DOD programs
  • GEOINT and GIS modeling and simulation
  • planning critical long-range technical requirements for tactical and national level GEOINT and GIS programs
  • Provide life-cycle management of all SETA support services including managing the budget, funding, staffing and scheduling for all task orders and contract deliverables

Supervisory/Management Authority:

· This position will not have supervisory or management authority

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must have an active TS clearance and be SCI eligible.
  • PMP certification required. 
  • Master’s Degree in an Engineering, Science, Business, Computer Science, or Related Scientific or Technical Discipline, or equivalent and 10+ years of recent relevant experience
  • Five to ten years’ experience as a Program Manager managing Geospatial/Geo-intelligence programs with an annual contract value of greater than $5M per year
  • Experience supporting Army or DOD Geospatial, Geo-intelligence or Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) related projects. Prior military or DoD experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Excellent communications skills; both oral and written
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite with experience in Access, Excel, and Word.
  • Working knowledge / experience with SharePoint
  • Ability to occasional travel and overnight stay may be required
  • Work autonomously with little to no supervision
  • Work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
