SUMMARY

  • Aircraft Structural Repair Mechanic. Preferred UH-60 or military experience or FAA certified Airframe mechanic. Have the ability to fabricate, assembles, install, and repairs structural components on and off aircraft.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • To be able to select proper gauge and type of sheet metal according to products being fabricated and knowledge of metal.
  • To have the ability to oversee and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
  • Ability to follow military technical manuals to complete task assigned.
  •  Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders as needed.
  •  Ability to analyze and resolves work problems.
  • Follow all safety procedures set forth by the company.
  • Take OSHA 10 hr. course within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret drawings for proper layout and installation of all products.
  • Receive all materials and ensure they are stored in an orderly fashion.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work space.
  • Look ahead in the installation ensuring all materials are onsite for specific work.
  • Make sure lines of communication are open between yourself and Lead man.
  • Make sure all production goals are met for self and those working with you in your particular task.
  • Attend all company meetings and necessary training classes provided.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent. Shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience with documented training (either with the Contractor or by validation of qualifying factors to include documented prior military experience and training) on the MDS (UH-60) systems they will be performing maintenance actions on.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must pass required Drug Screen
  • Must pass required Background Check
  • Must have valid driver license
  • Must have DD214 if prior military

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Must be able to: Stand or walk for long periods of time during a regular work day; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other climbing devices; carry tools and equipment; work while in stooped, kneeling, crouched, and crawling positions; be able to see naturally or with correction, to safely perform designated tasks.
