The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Central Data Exchange (CDX) is the Agency's electronic reporting site. The Central Data Exchange concept has been defined as a central point, which supplements EPA reporting systems, by performing new and existing functions for receiving legally acceptable data in various formats, including consolidated and integrated data.

 

The Business Analyst or Application Systems Analyst will perform business analysis, requirements gathering, testing, and documentation of applications. He or she will work closely with a team of Developers during each step of the process. Specific job responsibilities include:

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Collect and document user requirements
  • Research and develop technical requirements
  • Collaborate with developers on designing new features and software modifications
  • Document and execute testing
  • Coordinate User Acceptance
  • Develop application documentation
  • Coordinate and organize team collaboration
  • Interact professionally with clients and team members
  • Provide operations and inquiry support
  • Report to management

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 1-2 years’ experience in similar role
  • Experience with defining, documenting, validating, and tracking functional requirements for software development projects
  • Familiarity with agile development, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Understanding of system testing processes and procedures
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline

 

 

Desired Skills:

 

  • Agile methodology practitioner
  • Experience with Federal Government Customers
