SUMMARY

The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), headquartered in San Antonio, TX, is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.

We are looking for Senior Architectural and Engineering Manager to support AFCEC’s Strategic Execution (CFSE) Branch providing Advisory and assistance service (A&AS) in support of design and construction projects valued between $500M and $1B in Facility Sustainment, Repair, and Modernization (FSRM), and Unspecified Minor Military Construction (UMMC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage people and resources by assigning work assignments to contractor key personnel under this task order (TO).
  • Perform periodic quality control on deliverables completed by other contractor key personnel on this TO.
  • Working knowledge of the government procurement process and regulations related to A/E services and construction contracts.
  • Person responsible for the overall management of tasks performed under this task order.
  • Ensuring that practical and effective processes and management control systems are developed to meet the objectives of this tasks assigned under this TO.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory/management authority.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Architecture from an ABET-accredited university is required.
  • Minimum four (4) years’ experience with Air Force or DoD Facility, Infrastructure, and Project Management with design/construction agent (DA/CA) authority and execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Utilizing and applying computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • U.S. Citizenship and DoD government security clearance NACI required
