Assistant Site Lead (Position can be remote/nationwide)

SUMMARY

Cherokee Nation Security & Defense (CNSD) provides state-of-the-art critical site infrastructure protection, security surveillance services, access control technologies and complete security integration for both government and commercial clients. The company handles projects such as civil construction, complex security and command center design. Wholly owned by the Cherokee Nation, CNSD is part of the Cherokee Nation Businesses family of companies.

CNSD is looking for a highly motivated candidate to support security design, engineering and installation programs. The Assistant Site Lead will support all phases of the project and support on-site installation and supervisory activities. The role will be a part of specific projects related to security screening equipment, access control, CCTV and intrusion detection systems.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Conduct thorough assessment of sites and facilities documenting and collecting data relating to civil, electrical, communication and networking aspects.
  • Writing and preparing Site Assessment Reports (SAR) and Site Installation Package (SIP) that outline specific installation components and planning attributes including delivery, logistics, rigging, installation, supporting infrastructure, termination and testing.
  • Conducting on-site and remote coordination with all project stakeholders throughout the design, planning and installation process.
  • Performing on-site rigging, installation and supervisory activities during the installation phase
  • Supporting technical aspects and issues of all installed and deployed equipment.
  • Completing daily site reports, close out reports and notations for all as-built drawings.

 

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

 

This position will report to the Installation Services Manager and the Program Manager.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 2 Years experience in a technical role performing surveys or documenting technical program attributes

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Basic Understanding of AutoCad
  • Ability to read, mark and notate electrical, civil and communication drawings
  • Will be required to learn Spanish

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work will be conducted both CONUS and OCONUS
  • Be a U.S. citizen and available up to 80% of travel in the U.S and Mexico
  • Must have or willing to obtain a U.S Passport
