Business Process Re-Engineer – Health IT/Data Analyst, Arlington, VA, US ID#16273

SUMMARY:

Organizational assessment and proposed realignment of fragmented and siloed health, safety, and medical IT systems.  Initial mapping and gapping of current systems and analysis of the relevant data elements captured. Analysis to lead to recommendations for developing an Enterprise wide Safety Management System or utilizing existing systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Applies process improvement and reengineering methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects. Duties include activity and data modeling, mapping and gapping of systems, developing modem business methods, identifying best practices, and creating and assessing performance measurements. Provides group facilitation, interviewing, and provides additional forms of knowledge transfer. May be under the supervision and direction of a Project manager or may work independently.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY:

No supervisory or management authority.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of ten years’ experience, of which at least five years must be specialized. Specialized experience may include: facilitation, methodology development and evaluation, process reengineering across all phases, identifying best practices, change management, business management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, information system development methods and practices.

Market knowledge of occupational health and operational medicine requirements, health safety, and medical readiness.  Understanding of Department of Homeland Security, component agencies, and supporting directorates strongly desired as is a current understanding of the systems utilized.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Education, Management Sciences, Psychology, Human Resources Development/ Management, or other related discipline.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Remote working environment. The work is primarily sedentary. Requirements may include prolonged walking, standing, sitting or bending. Use of one or more computer programs and monitors may be required to efficiently accomplish duties.
