Our client comprises highly professional teams made up of architects, engineers, PEs, and technical specialists trained for rapid response to all types of disasters. They support FEMA by providing a wide range of services including but not limited to: assessing and estimating damages, assisting applicants applying for federal aid, debris removal, and long-term recovery planning.

 

We are looking for experienced Civil Engineers to assist in the post-hurricane recovery efforts in the southern United States.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Investigate/review damaged public facilities (roads, buildings, bridges)
  • Develop descriptions of the work and costs necessary to repair and/or rebuilding of the site
  • Work with public stakeholders to assist them with the FEMA Public Assistance process

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or in a closely related field
  • Appropriate technical education and certification
  • Willingness to deploy and mobilize to Joint Field Office (JFO) and on-site location
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and industry partners
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to be politically savvy
  • Ability to travel frequently and with short notice
  • Pass a drug screen and federal background check
