CNSP is looking for a Construction Manager-Senior to support the Program Management Office (PMO) at Tyndall AFB in rebuilding the base after Hurricane Michael by turning the new $3B master plan into a portfolio of ready-to-award-construction project packages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a professional with construction management experience to provide contract quality assurance supporting the Air Forces’ MILCON and Facility Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) programs in support of the Tyndall AFB rebuild effort. 
  • The candidate selected for this position will perform a broad range of quality assurance functions for a variety of design and construction requirements focused on government contract compliance.
  • The candidate selected for this position will perform a broad range technical review and advisory/assistance for AFCEC design and construction projects at across the Air Force. 
  • Analyze project metrics for cost, schedule, and quality control performance.
  • Provide quality assurance support implementing Air Force design and construction program. 
  • Support root cause assessment of delays and implementation of program level improvements. 
  • Assist AFCEC in monitoring quality of construction programs through review of specifications, construction submittals, schedules, and other construction documentation. 
  • Produce quality assurance reports such as contract compliance checklists and project performance reports.

 

Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position will have some supervisory or management authority.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and have an active and current DOD security clearance (NACI).
  • All selected applicants will be subject to a U.S. Federal Government security background investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and favorably pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • As a minimum, a Masters’ degree from an accredited discipline university in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field is required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of construction industry experience.
  • Experience with the Air Force MILCON and FSRM programs is highly desired.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Utilizing and applying computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) design and construction policies, standards, and specifications to include Facility Sustainment, Repair, Modernization, and MILCON programs.
  • Familiarity with United Facilities Codes and United Facilities Guideline Specifications.

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily performed in a secured federal and/or military installation office setting, a controlled office environment as well as working outside in a construction site field environment.
