Construction Warranty Manager – Warsaw, Poland (ID# 15288)

SUMMARY

Responsible for warranty management and knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of the various building systems as installed in the works.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Must respond immediately (telephone and email are acceptable) and be responsible for warranty management.
  • Must address, record, and resolve warranty issues during the warranty period and can be certified to act on the Contractor’s behalf during the warranty management period.
  • Shall communicate and coordinate actions with the responsible Government representative.
  • Respond to building system deficiencies.
  • Arrange for repairs or replacements of warrantable deficiencies.
  • Document issues, actions, and solutions and incorporate records as a part of the Project Document Set and surrender records upon termination of the warranty period.
  • Shall review procedures with the Government Operation and Maintenance staff and verify agent responsibilities are in compliance with building systems procedures.
  • Develop a summary of lessons learned during the warranty management process for incorporation into the Maintenance Plan.
  • Participate in an on-site warranty meeting within 8 to 11 months after Substantial Completion.
  • Keeps executive management informed of project status.
  • Other special duties as required or requested by executive management.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

5 year experience as a Warranty Manager on similar projects.  

**Active Secret Security Clearance Required**

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Effective verbal communication-be articulate and professional in appearance.
  • Effective written communication-ability to create detailed documentation.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office and project scheduling software such as MS Projects or Primavera.
  • Effective organizational skills with ability to prioritize and be efficient under pressure.
  • Must be self-motivated, display initiative and possess a high level of energy.
  • Understands lines of authority and communication of the construction team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will be performed in a combination of office setting and construction site.
