Cherokee Nation Aerospace & Defense is a contract manufacturer and integrator of electro-mechanical assemblies, including distribution, kitting and the manufacturing of cable and wire harness assemblies. The CNAD manufacturing team is experienced with projects that require expertise in medium to complex integration of ground support, test, flight hardware and armament systems. SUMMARY

We are looking for an Electrical Technician Maintenance II to fill a critical role in supporting AFSFC’s mission. This is an outstanding opportunity to apply your academic and real-world expertise to work that has direct impact on improving conditions for Air Force Major Commands, installations, and other customers across the globe.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Provide technical reviews of electrical plans, specifications, and designs for existing platforms for the MaxxPro MRAP all-terrain Vehicle trainer.
  • Sustainment tasks necessary to repair, sustain and maintain operationally fielded MET platforms at all field areas.
  • Preventive Maintenance Inspection on MRAP trainer
  • Organizational level on-site maintenance support on trainer.
  • On Site Preventive Maintenance Interaction and communication with base Security Forces and other base organizations necessary to support on-site maintenance activity.
  • Provide a scheduled maintenance plan for each trainer assigned to the program manager monthly.
  • Submit a Contractor Field Service Report (CFSR) on a monthly basis summarizing all preventive and corrective maintenance activities for each of the training devices.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the program manager.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory/management authority.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school or G.E.D equivalent, and two years of journey-level experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of pumping equipment, including valves, pumps and motors; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. experienced/journey-level class in the series, fully competent to independently perform duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

•Knowledge of and experience in electrical distribution design and construction standards.

•Knowledge of cost analysis techniques and software related to electrical systems and rate determination.

Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays

•Ability to work independently to achieve both broadly described and narrowly proscribed work outcomes.

•Required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information and documents; analyze and solve problems; use shop mathematics; observe and interpret situations; deal with changing, intensive deadlines; and interact with officials and the public.

•US citizenship required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a climate controlled building setting. Employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and on slippery and uneven surfaces. The employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
