SUMMARY

 

Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP) offers federal, state and local agencies a wide range of support services. CNSP focuses on quality performance. Services offered by Cherokee Nation Applicants Strategic Programs apply to all national security communities including federal, state and local intelligence communities, the military and law enforcement agencies. The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center requires the support of RCM and MPC development in support of its Standard Integration Maintenance effort.

 

We are seeking an Electronic Technical Analysis Support to provide engineering reviews and analysis for revisions to existing and installation of new electronics systems for SFLC PL and C4IT SC systems.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Perform engineering reviews and analysis for revisions to existing and installation of new electronics systems for SFLC PL and C4IT SC systems
  • Review engineering changes for impact on ships service and emergency power systems
  • Perform voltage drop calculations
  • Provide engineering and technical efforts applicable to support of existing vessels including Interior and Exterior communications systems, Cutter electronics configuration and arrangement, Command and Control systems. Navigation Systems, Navy type, Navy Owned NTNO systems, AFC-42 funded systems, as directed by the COR
  • Interface electronic equipment to shipboard electrical systems

 

 

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • This position does not have management authority and supervisory capacity

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Associated degree preferred
  • Experience with general technical drawing practices and procedures
  • USCG or US Navy technical drawing practices and procedures experience preferred
  • Maritime or marine experience preferred
  • Experience with the interpretation and application of commercial and military standards to USCG shipboard electrical systems  

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  • Possess general naval engineering knowledge including Hull, Mechanical, Electrical as well as Electronic components and systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electronics technical drawings
  • Pass a NACI background investigation and obtain a government issued Common Access Card (CAC) to access USCG IT systems and facilities

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

  • This position is primarily performed in a secured federal office setting, a controlled office environment.
