Administrative Support IV – General Clerk III (13883)

The National Park Service (NPS) of the Department of the Interior (DOI), our client, preserves unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.  The Denver Service Center is led by this NPS mission.  As the central planning, design, and construction management office for the National Park Service (NPS), the Denver Service Center (DSC) provides start-to-finish project management and delivery.

We are looking for an Administrative Support IV, with a high level of administrative experience in a Federal office, to help support the efforts at NPS DSC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Coordinates travel arrangements for Divisional staff. Ensures arrangements meet all travel needs. Provides detailed itinerary. Obtains required approvals and prepares travel authorizations and vouchers in accordance with standards, guidelines, and policies. Examines vouchers for accuracy and routes for approval. Establishes and maintains travel files.
  • Serves as division timekeeper. Enters, maintains and edits employees’ time and attendance records in the automated payroll system.  Ensures account numbers are accurate.
  • Serves as division office receptionist. Receives and directs all telephone and in-person inquiries. Addresses non-technical questions. Maintains professional demeanor in all communications.
  • Schedules appointments and meetings for the Division Chief.
  • Coordinates and schedules Divisional meetings and presentations.
  • Maintains and updates equipment inventory with approval from the Division Chief as required.
  • All performance requirements are time-sensitive.  Completes all work within required timelines and meets deadlines. 
  • Performs other job related duties as required.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • No management of others or supervisory roles

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years’ experience in administrative support required
  • At least 2 years required in arranging travel logistics

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in data entry
  • Proficient in Concur travel
  • Excellent in customer service

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office environment inside of a federally secured facility
