The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), headquartered in San Antonio, TX, is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.

We are looking for a professional with construction project management experience to provide contract quality assurance supporting the Air Forces’ MILCON and Facility Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) programs. The candidate selected for this position will perform a broad range of quality assurance functions for a variety of design and construction requirements focused on government contract compliance.



  • Analyze construction project performance
  • Provide technical support implementing Air Force design and construction quality assurance program
  • Support root cause assessment of delays and implementation of program level improvements
  • Assist AFCEC in monitoring quality of construction programs through review of specifications, construction submittals, schedules, and other construction documentation
  • Produce quality assurance reports such as contract compliance checklists and project performance reports


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Engineer in Training certification
  • Minimum of five (5) years of construction industry experience
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing


  • Have an active Common Access Card (CAC) or the ability to obtain one
  • Successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen
