The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Office for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support (CSTLTS) maintains cross-agency activities and efforts to improve public health at the state, tribal, local and territorial levels. This is accomplished by building capacity in public health infrastructure and practice, resource and asset management, performance and accountability, workforce development and shared leadership to improve public health outcomes.

CSTLTS is in need of a Grants Coordinator/Specialist for Partnership Development, Stakeholder Management, and Issues Management.

  • Provide grant management support to the Center for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support (CSTLTS)
  • Support the Office of the CSTLTS Director as part of the Program Resource Management Team
  • Utilize the Grants Management Module (GMM) to manage grants and cooperative agreements
  • Increase GMM system and business process capacity within the Center
  • Coordinate logistics for Forecasting Portal submissions
  • Review, edit, and create various communication documents
  • Research and develop responses to issues and inquiries from internal and external audiences
  • Develop success stories, highlights, and talking points from Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant recipients program activities
  • Provide administrative support to the National Public Health Improvement Support Team (NPHIST)
  • Perform other job related duties as required


  • None


  • Bachelor’s degree in related health or allied sciences and 5 years’ experience or
  • Master’s degree in related health or allied sciences and 2 years of experience


The candidate must have at a minimum:

  • Familiarity with Grants Solutions and Grants Management Module
  • Plain Language writing experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks concurrently
  • Previous experience with CDC and/or CSTLTS programs, policies, and procedures highly desired


  • Work is conducted in a climate controlled office environment.
  • The environment may require prolonged sitting, prolonged standing, and light lifting up to 20 lbs.
