SUMMARY

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Centrt for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support (CSTLTS) supports cross-agency activities and efforts to improve public health at the state, tribal, local and territorial levels by building capacity in  public health infrastructure and practice, resource and asset management, performance and accountability, workforce development and shared leadership to improve public health outcomes.

CSTLTS is in need of a Grants Coordinator/Specialist for Partnership Development, Stakeholder Management, and Issues Management

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•     Provide grant management support to the Office for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support (CSTLTS)

•     Support the Office of Director as part of the Program Resource Management Team

  • Utilize the Grants Management Module (GMM) to manage grants and cooperative agreements
  • Increase GMM system and business process capacity within the center
  • Serve as resource for technical assistance within the center for GrantSolutions Announcement Module
  • Coordinate logistics for grants review

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

None

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree and preferably a MPH or MBA with major study in an academic field relating to the health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position and experience working in a public health setting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The candidate must have at a minimum:

  • Experience in all aspects of grant peer review planning and coordination including management of applications, recruitment of reviewers, standardization of scoring and other post review activities.
  • Previous experience with Grants Management Module
  • Familiarity with Grants Solution
  • CDC OSTLTS programs, policies and procedures highly desired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is conducted in a climate controlled office environment. 
  • The environment may require prolonged sitting, prolonged standing, and light lifting up to 20 lbs.
