The position will provide professional assistance for the Division of Laboratory Systems (DLS). The Graphic Designer will create highly visual graphics for the DLS team.


  • Create highly visual graphics for all communication channels and mediums including print and electronic (i.e., web, social media, presentations)
  • Work with SMEs across the division to develop creative briefs and concepts.
  • Develop infographics by assessing all data.
  • Assist with managing and ensuring the DLS brand(s) is consistent in all communication materials.
  • Create and optimize 508 compliant images and PDFs for the web using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and Acrobat).
  • Provide photography services for DLS staff to upload to website (i.e., staff headshots, event photos, lab photos)


  • No supervisory or management authority.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts, Multimedia or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • 3+ years’ experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, and Acrobat).


  • Knowledge of 508 guidelines.
  • Knowledge of 3D animation
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite


  • Work is conducted in a climate controlled office environment.
  • The environment may require prolonged sitting, prolonged standing, and light lifting up to 20 lbs.
