We are seeking Information Technology Subject Matter Expert – Storage Systems Engineer that will primarily be responsible for data center operations including planning, maintaining, road mapping and executing on expansion and upgrades.

Information Technology Subject Matter Expert – Storage Systems Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keeps supervisor and Director apprised of the statues of LSRs and the general condition of the post 7+ years of experience managing large scale storage systems
  • Proven track record of effective technical roles in complex migration and implementation projects
  • Advanced knowledge of clustering services, load balancing and replication services.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating documentation of designs and solution.
  • Exposure to various facets of data center build-out including planning, designing and implementation of various storage systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex enterprise solutions to internal staff and customer
  • Provide mentorship to all engineering staff in respect to storage architecture
  • Resolve escalated issues not only inside his/her own expertise but also willingness to accept challenges outside of expertise and comfort zone
  • Provide training to peers and promote teamwork.
  • Provide exemplary client communication skills.
  • Work on multiple projects or tasks well with a sense of urgency and completing tasks on schedule while maintaining industry leading SLA and uptime.
  • Able to quickly assess situations that require escalation to vendor support

  • No supervisory/management authority.

Education and/or Experience

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent. Certifications in multiple technology areas are a significant plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess excellent knowledge of basic system protocols and methodologies.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
  • Communication skills, highly organized, work well under pressure and handle multiple projects at once.
  • Be self-motivated, positive, can-do approach and team player.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC).
  • Must be a US citizen.

  • This position is primarily performed in a climate controlled office setting.
