SUMMARY

The position will participate in eLearning course reviews and pilot tests, and compile all review responses and pilot test results into a written document.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Coordinate the design and development of training products from start to finish.
  • Develop eLearning storyboards and course outlines using the A.D.D.I.E. instructional design model.
  • Develop job aids, self-study guides, and workshop handouts to accompany eLearning courses.
  • Develop or review video scripts to be used for voice over narration in eLearning courses
  • Integrate 508 accessible standards into print materials Develop or review video scripts to be used for voice over narration in eLearning courses
  • Review existing training courses, support materials, and instructional guidance documents and provide a written report with recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in eLearning course reviews and pilot tests.
  • Compile all review responses and pilot test results into a written document
  • Make recommendations for courses changes based on review or pilot test results.
  • Implement all changes into the storyboard.
  • Participate in quality standards setting for TWDB training products by contributing to the development of “style guides.”
  • Provide recommendations/edits to the current style guides.
  • Finalize the building of eLearning courses using the most cost-effective tool for long-term program sustainability. TWDB currently uses Lectora for most courses and occasionally uses Adobe Captivate.
  • Use evaluation data to inform updates and improvements to training products
  • Performs other job related duties as required.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory or management authority.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in education related field of study
  • 5-7 years related experience and/or training in processes and standards for planning and implementing instructional design and development.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Familiarity with virtual environment and LMS systems such as: Lectora, TRAIN, Blackboard, Pathlore, Moodle, Saba.
    • Knowledge of the following online authoring software(s): Captivate Articulate, Lectora, Adobe or other such programs.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Excellent organization and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel, including VLookup, filtering, sorting and other basic functionality.
    • Consistently demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; juggle and manage competing tasks and demands; and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to take the initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions within the functional area of responsibility with minimal direct supervision.
    • Documenting Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Ability to query databases and generate reports.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written).
    • Ability to deliver reports routinely in a timely manner or as needed upon request.
    • Preferred: working knowledge of SharePoint including lists, workflows and libraries.
    • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government security investigation.
    • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
