SUMMARY

Serve as an Escort with responsibility for coordinating with Chief of Mission (COM) and other U.S. government agency staff to coordinate the entry and exit of mission supplies from the International Zone (IZ) check-points to U.S. Embassy compounds and Union III. Responsible for advising and providing information to the Logistics Management Center (LMC) and staff elements, preparing, updating, and maintaining access documents, making recommendations with regard to current and future operations, monitoring execution, and keeping the leadership abreast of issues that may impact operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Escort U.S. trucks and personnel from the International Zone checkpoints to U.S. Embassy compounds and Union 3. Escort will follow established LMC protocol while escorting all movements.
  • Submit daily IZ documentation to IZ authority.
  • Escort is required to work multiple issues at the same time. Information must be provided on time and be relevant to the current operation; prepare updates and maintains access documentation used by the LMC and IZ Access. Make recommendations to the LMC Director and members of his staff to assist in decision-making when security issues relating to IZ Access and changes to procedures occur. These recommendations are to provide information and assistance, carefully analyze, and compare all feasible alternatives using the best information available, prepare plans and orders to carry out LMC leadership decisions to include coordinating all necessary details.
  • Provide assistance to other elements of LMC staff in the planning and executing process.
  • Identify and communicate problems that affect the mission goals.
  • Recommend courses of action to the leadership or staff element to solve potential problems, responsible for correcting problems at the lowest level and travel as necessary to execute IZ Access missions.
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Department of State, Department of Defense, and other Government Agency contracting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of visa process systems and responsibilities in Government of Iraq organizations.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Level 2/2 in English is required.
  • Level 4/4 in Arabic is required.
  • Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust clearance

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma and five (5) years of relevant experience.
