The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Central Data Exchange (CDX) is the Agency's electronic reporting site. The Central Data Exchange concept has been defined as a central point, which supplements EPA reporting systems, by performing new and existing functions for receiving legally acceptable data in various formats, including consolidated and integrated data.
 

 We are in need for a Java Developer to support the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mission. Performs routine and non-routine programming assignments, applies standard programming procedures and detailed knowledge of pertinent subject matter in a specific programming area. The programs developed or modified typically are linked to several other programs in that the output of one becomes the input for another. Recognizes probable interactions of other related programs with the assigned program(s) and is familiar with related system software and computer equipment. Solves conventional programming problems. Tests and documents work and writes and maintains operator instructions for assigned programs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work in  Java, Knockout.js, AngularJS, SPA, HTML5, Bootstrap, SQL, Hibernate, Spring and REST
  • Work within a group as positive contributing teammate.
  • Use agile methodologies for efficient, effective development

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Java, Knockout.js, AngularJS, SPA, HTML5, Bootstrap, SQL, Hibernate, Spring
  • Experience developing and consuming REST services
  • Strong JavaScript skills
  • Knowledge of the full development lifecycle
  • Experience with agile development, JIRA, and Confluence
  • 3+ years’ experience in full stack Java development
  • Bachelor degree in related field
