SUMMARY

 

The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), headquartered in San Antonio, TX, is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.

 

We are looking for a Journeyman Administrative Professional to support the U.S. Air Force’s Environmental Restoration Account (ERA) planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) process commonly referred to as Program Requirements Development (PRD).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide specialized advisory and assistance (A&AS) support services to the Air Force including:
  • Administrative support for the U.S. Air Force Environmental Restoration Account (ERA) planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) process commonly referred to as Program Requirements Development (PRD).
  • Administrative support to assist with Technology Transfer communication, emerging issues/emerging contaminants, critical process analysis, modeling, Green & Sustainable Remediation initiatives and laboratory proficiency testing.
  • Administrative support to ensure Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliance to prepare defensible, reliable Environmental Liabilities (EL) and program estimates.

 

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

 

No supervisory/management authority.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent. In lieu of related experience, we would consider the following education: an Associate's Degree counts as four (4) years' experience; Bachelor's Degree counts as eight (8) years’ experience.
  • Basic training in the Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).
  • Manage meeting logistics.
  • Organize and prepare meeting materials.
  • Prepare status reports.
  • Utilize and apply computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Prepare meeting minutes and action items report.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Facilitate meetings.
  • Manage work task flow.
  • Conduct task order management activities.
  • Prepare invoices and monitor scheduling of personnel.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines.
