CNSP is looking for a qualified Technical Lead to provide technical writing project management support to the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) to assist in developing environmental program requirements. AFCEC is a Field Operating Agency (FOA) of the United States Air Force that provides a full range of technical and professional services to the Air Force community in areas related to environmental restoration, pollution prevention, environmental planning, design and construction management, and comprehensive planning and design.

The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), headquartered in San Antonio, TX, is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track project requirements, development schedules through the initial phases of developing environmental requirements and estimate project costs
  • Prepare and revise environmental program documents as required
  • Facilitate project requirement discussions to ensure accurate capture of requirements, and actively communicating program status to maintain schedules for document completion
  • Works closely with cost estimators during cost estimate reviews with government clients
  • Assist in the updating and revising of environmental program documents as required
  • Support in the facilitation of multiple client meetings to discuss and capture requirement’s changes
  • Assists in organizing and packaging audit files as well as other duties required by program management

Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position will not have supervisory or management authority

Education and/or Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Management or related field is required
  • Three (3) years minimum of related experience required
  • Recent or current government contracting experience is strongly desired
  • Some project management experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and other database applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check to gain base access with a Common Access Card (CAC)

Work Environment:

  • This position is performed in a secured federal office setting
