We are looking for a Junior Engineer Construction Management Specialist to support our mission.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and manage programs for major technical investigations in the area of ballistics and explosive event research and development, armoring, metallurgical science, ceramic materials, material processing, heat treating and applied programmatic research.
  • Conduct & review certification testing identifying and mitigating technology/hardware deficiencies of forced entry products.
  • Create & investigate new blast mitigation technology and hardware, identifying and mitigating deficiencies with current building practices and materials.
  • Determine new mitigation techniques to better protect DOS facilities and investigate new threats to DOS personnel and activities to determine their impact.
  • Project ownership responsibilities for major technical projects including but not limited to organizing project path, tracking project cost, communicating, maintaining data and advising management group of findings.
  • Focus on new technologies that significantly improve performance (disruptive innovation), improvements in current state of the art (evolutionary innovation), and guiding system engineers in application of technologies in design of new products.
  • Responsible for the completion of major projects on schedule.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Focus and independent drive to complete tasks
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • U.S. Citizen

Education:

 

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Material Science from an accredited university.
