SUMMARY

Serve as the Visa and Transportation Logistics Support Specialist to the Logistics Management Center (LMC), at the US Embassy Baghdad. Provide technical advice to the DoS staff and other agencies on all matters regarding visas and transportation operations and processes required to obtain movement approvals throughout Iraq. Advise The US Department of State on assigned visa and transportation projects. Work to implement various tracking and other data management tools.

Provide support to the LMC and other agencies on all matters regarding visa expediting and processes required to obtain entry and residency throughout Iraq. Responsible for monitoring the movement of visas through the GOI process and coordinating with companies, and the LMC at the U.S. Embassy, to complete all necessary requirements for visa requests and subsequent activation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops tracking and coordination modules for all incoming Prime Ministers Non-Objection Certificate (PMNOC), reviews and submits movement packets to the Government of Iraq (GOI) for visa and transportation missions countrywide.
  • Coordinates with companies at the U.S. Embassy and all Mission sites (COM and BPC) to complete bilingual visa packets required for submission to the Iraq Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Monitor trending for visa approvals and denials and coordinate with LMC for proper reporting
  • Send official memorandums through courier services to ministries and acts on behalf of the LMC.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required for visas, passports, blood work, and all required documents pertaining to visa processing
  • Advise DoS personnel on managing visa and transportation systems in support of DoS operations; develops reports that summarize and forecast trends that highlight potential service short falls; consults with LMC staff at the US Embassy Baghdad to evaluate expectations in regard to requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned as they support visa residency processing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s Degree or minimum five years of relevant experience in a relevant field.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Clearance Level Required:  RSO Vetting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
