CNSP is looking for a Logistics Specialist II supporting the Countermeasures Directorate and /or subordinate offices.  This individual will act in the Logistic Specialist III capacity during those extended times that, the Logistic Specialist III is away from the office on travel, leave, etc.  This position may require overseas and/or domestic travel up to 25%.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in drafting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Contract file documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports
  • Assists in the tracking of all Purchase Requests and Contracts submitted.
  • Assists with the annual, quarterly, and monthly inventory of DS/C and its subordinate offices equipment and controlled loaned DoD/OGA (classified) and DS assets, and the movement of armored vehicles, equipment and systems for use at National test facilities.


  • For ST Only:  Knowledge and understanding of Electronic Countermeasures (ECM), Contingency Communications Radios (CCR), and vehicle-based Mobile Video recording Systems (MVS), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), and radar based Indirect Fire early warning systems (Sense and Warn)
  • For ST Only: Provide training for overseas Field Service Representatives and Logisticians on the use of CMMS mobile and production equipment, as well as the configuration of all tactical communications systems prior to shipment
  • For PSP positions only:  Ability to use S-ILMS and ILMS in support of PSP logistics requirements.  Order fulfillment, tracking, and communication with posts.  Ability to coordinate classified pouch shipments as directed.
  • For DEAV only:  Ability to get certification for Hazmat using DOD and DOT requirements.
  • Proficient in written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional working relationships with a wide variety of government and contractor staff
  • Proven ability to directly support overseas logistic positions 

Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position will not have supervisory or management authority. The incumbent will have supervisory authority only during those extended times that; the Logistics Specialist III is away from the office, on travel, leave, etc.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, or other related area of study preferred.
  • Five years’ experience in logistics management  is required
  • For ST Only: In-depth knowledge of Maximo; Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Incumbent must be a US Citizen
  • Must have an active and current SECRET clearance to start is acceptable, however, the incumbent must be able to obtain a TOP SECRET Clearance within 6 months of start date.
  • Must have a valid US Passport where its renewal date is more than one year.
  • Must be able to pass successfully a drug test and a federal government background investigation.
  • Due to required air travel, the incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods of time in airport terminals and security check in lines.This position may require overseas and/or domestic travel up to 25%.

  • This position is primarily performed in a secured federal office setting, a controlled office environment
