SUMMARY

The individual in this position will serve as a Logistics Specialist II supporting the Countermeasures Directorate and /or subordinate offices. This individual will act in the Logistic Specialist I capacity during those extended times that the Logistic Specialist I is away from the office on travel, leave, etc. This position may require overseas and/or domestic travel.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assists in drafting of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Contract file documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports.
  • Assists in the tracking of all Purchase Requests and Contracts submitted.
  • Assists with the annual, quarterly, and monthly inventory of DS/C and its subordinate offices equipment and controlled loaned DoD/OGA (classified) and DS assets, and the movement of armored vehicles, equipment and systems for use at National test facilities.

 

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory or management responsibilities

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

  • Associate’s degree in Business, or other related area of study preferred.
  • Five years’ experience in logistics management required.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  • Must hold a Secret level security clearance;
  • Ability to get certification for Hazmat using DOD and DOT requirements;
  • Proficient in written/verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional working relationships with a wide variety of government and contractor staff; and
  • Proven ability to directly support overseas logistic positions.
