CNSP is looking for a Logistics Specialist I.  This individual will serve as and support the Countermeasures Directorate, and/or its subordinate offices for the Dept. of State (DOS).

This position may require overseas and/or domestic travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide oral and written advice on specific issues regarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Contract file documents, Memorandums, and weekly logistics reports pertaining to the procurement handling, programming and inventory/accountability of over equipment deployed worldwide
  • Track all DOS Purchase Requests and contracts submitted.
  • Responsible for providing information on annual, quarterly, and monthly inventory, equipment and controlled loaned Dept. of Defense (DoD) /OGA (classified) and DS assets, and the movement of armored vehicles, equipment and systems for use at National test facilities
  • Occasional travel CONUS & OCONUS

Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position will not have supervisory or management authority

Education and/or Experience:

  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Business Administration, logistics , or other related areas of study
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in logistics management in a federal or military setting is required
  • Department of State experience preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Excellent Communication skills; both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional working relationships with a wide variety of government and contractor staff
  • Organized and have attention to detail and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven ability to directly support overseas logistic positions 
  • For PSP positions only: 
    • Ability to use S-ILMS and ILMS in support of PSP logistics requirements.  Order fulfillment, tracking, and communication with posts.  Ability to coordinate classified pouch shipments as directed.
  • For ST only: 
  • Knowledge of Maximo; Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software preferred, but not required
  • For DEAV only: 
    • Ability to get certification for Hazmat using DOD and DOT requirements.
  • For ST positions only:
    • Ability to coordinate training for overseas Field Service Representatives and Logisticians on the use of CMMS mobile and production equipment, as well as the configuration of all tactical communications systems prior to shipment
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Active U.S. Passport
  • Travel as required CONUS & OCONUS
  • Must hold an ACTIVE Top Secret level security clearance
  • Successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily performed in a secured federal office setting, a controlled office environment
