The Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), headquartered in San Antonio, TX, is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.

We are looking for a Senior Management Consultant to support the AFCEC Director, Deputy Director, and Business Systems Directorate. The ideal candidate would be a senior-level individual with a strong background in Air Force Civil Engineering transformation initiatives

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for research and analysis support for Air Force transformation initiatives
  • Provide organizational change management expertise to include process improvement, process mapping, strategic planning, and analysis of alternatives.
  • Provide mission analysis and recommendations for future capabilities, force structure, and force development.
  • Deliver support to organizational governance and decision support systems to include tracking and reporting on milestones, preparing senior managers for briefings, and preparing decision-ready briefing materials.
  • Offer logistical and technical support for senior leader teleconferences and meetings
  • Initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff;
  • Provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues;
  • Consult with client to define need or problem, supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.

Qualifications:

  • A master's degree from an accredited discipline university in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Facility Management, or related field is required
  • At minimum of ten (10) years of experience in executive change management in business redirection and enhancement, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Strong experience with the Air Force Civil Engineer programs is required
  • Experience and knowledge to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as architecture and engineering or research and development and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Proven ability to perform at a project management level is a must
  • Good organizational skills and excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to multitask and meet aggressive deadlines

  • U.S. Citizenship and DoD government security clearance NACI required
  • Successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check is mandatory
