SUMMARY

The position will work to remove boxes from shelving units, transported, and either placed on other shelving or stacked on pallets, and shrink wrapped. The position will work to destroy records in accordance with Federal requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

· Locate containers on the shelving, using the location information listed on the pull list provided. 

· Remove the containers from the shelving.

· Check for missing and/or charged out containers and empty locations.

· Place containers in proper order.

· Move Records to designated area.

· Palletize containers for disposable records.

· Ensure each container is properly stacked and marked.

· Secure the pallet by circling it with shrink wrap.

· Shelve records that are being relocated.

· Confirm there is sufficient designated empty space to hold the records.

· Performs other job related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings and technical descriptions.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions and must be able to use a database system.
  • Interpersonal skills; patience; problem solving skills; attention to detail; organization skills; accuracy; time management; basic math skills; basic filing skills; 10-key.
  • Internet software; spreadsheet software (specifically MS Excel); word processing software (specifically MS Word); customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift 25 to 30 lbs.
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance.
