Cherokee Nation Aerospace & Defense is a contract manufacturer and integrator of electro-mechanical assemblies, including distribution, kitting and the manufacturing of cable and wire harness assemblies. The CNAD manufacturing team is experienced with projects that require expertise in medium to complex integration of ground support, test, flight hardware and armament systems. SUMMARY

Perform a broad range of Mechanical Engineering functions for a variety of mechanic/Vehicle operations, materials, and methods under varying conditions and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Assist MRAP vehicle in developing, executing, and enhancing design and construction programs.
  • Provide technical support to design and construction contract disputes, claims, and/or litigation.
  • May perform other duties that may be assigned by the Program Manager.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

Position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and 2 years of experience. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of standard engineering methods
  • Ability to read, interpret, and review mechanical and plumbing calculations, drawings, and specification.
  • Working knowledge of load calculations and energy analysis.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in the mechanical industry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
