We are looking for experienced HVAC Mechanical Engineers to perform a variety of tasks to the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC). This person can work out of San Antonio, TX

Our client, (AFCEC), is responsible for providing responsive, flexible full-spectrum installation engineering services. AFCEC missions include facility investment planning, design and construction, operations support, real property management, energy support, environmental compliance and restoration, and audit assertions, acquisition and program management. The unit conducts its operations at more than 75 locations worldwide.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the client in making investment decisions related to the repair, long term sustainment and routine maintenance of mechanical systems and utilities

 

Qualifications:

  • Ten plus (10+) years of engineering experience in requirements identification, planning, design, construction and/or facility maintenance.
  • Specific experience in heating, ventilation and air conditioning for a wide variety of building types
  • Specific experience in adaptive re-use a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience in HVAC design and construction standards.
  • Knowledge of cost analysis techniques and software related to mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of methods to evaluate mechanical system condition and performance, including means and methods.
  • Experience in CADD applications relating to fixed facilities (utilities and buildings)
  • Experience in leading others to achieve established goals and timelines
  • Ability to work independently to achieve both broadly described and narrowly proscribed work outcomes
  • Experience within Department of Defense Agencies or the uniformed services
  • Air Force experience a plus but not required
  • Appropriate college degrees required
  • Ability to lead small teams of personnel in non-GIS activities a plus but not required
  • Additional certifications a plus
  • Professional registration is a plus, but not required.
  • US citizenship required
  • Successfully pass a drug screen and federal background check
