Job Title: Project Programmer: Military Family Housing (MFH) Facility and Project Programmer

Cherokee Nation Businesses is seeking one or more Project Managers to support Military Family Housing (MFH) projects at Kadena Air Base, Japan. Specifically, we are seeking reliable, credible professionals with specialized technical expertise to provide on-site support to the 718th Civil Engineering Squadron (718 CES) Housing PMO. Primary performance locations will be Kadena Air Base, Japan.

 

Responsibilities:

The individual will work as part of our company’s on-site engineering team to assist across a wide variety of housing-related projects, providing Planning, Programming, Production Control, Inspection, and Project Management support. Individual must be familiar with applicable DoD, USAF, and Japan-specific codes and regulations. Will support review of design work for repair, construction, renovation, and improvement projects for all MFH real property facilities. Will serve as liaison with the Army Corps of Engineers or other design agencies. As needed, will coordinate projects with PMO team members and other stakeholders and contractors in a variety of disciplines on technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in facility programming for military facilities, with demonstrated ability to translate technical facility condition assessments and facility system inspection reports into DD Form 1391 programming documents for review by higher headquarters.
  • At least one year of experience working on-site with US military/DoD engineering personnel, preferably within an Air Force CES.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in a relevant degree (directly related experience may be substituted for a degree). (If degree is from a non-US college/university, please provide documentation showing that the degree has been accepted as accredited for work within the US, or that the US military has previously accepted the degree as equivalent.)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified through Project Management Institute, desired.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Air Force NACI/SF85 for unescorted access to controlled areas.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.

 

Security Clearance Requirements:
 

  • Upon hiring, candidate will be subjected to a PUBLIC LEVEL investigation which is required to be adjudicated and maintained, in order to remain eligible for employment, per contract and government requirements.

 

Travel Requirements:

 

  • 100% Deployed in Yokota, Japan
  • Living Quarters/Housing Allowance (LQA) and some relocation assistance available
