Cherokee Nation Strategic Programs (CNSP) is seeking Operational Psychologist professionals to support work for a Department of Defense client in the Washington D.C. area.


  • Operational Psychologist will conduct assessments of high risk personnel.
  • Conduct training and research with worldwide DoD units and personnel.
  • Support a DoD operations through the application human performance techniques within military systems.
  • Manage development efforts in, and provide staff assistance for training and personnel issues.
  • Create and implement innovative approaches to psychological assessment and other assessment related activities in support of national security objectives.


This position will not have supervisory authority.


  • TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly prior to start
  • PhD or degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
  • Two years’ minimum experience practicing operational psychology within the DoD or other federal, state or local agencies.
  • Experience with government or corporate personnel psychology assessment and selection activities.
  • Former Military Service Preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience with psychological assessment, behavioral evaluation, behavioral research, organizational effectiveness land leader development, operational psychology, performance enhancement and training, and industrial or organizational psychology.
  • Ability to show completion of an APA-approved internship, residency in clinical psychology, or an internship or residency
  • Ability to maintain a current license to practice psychology in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands
  • Possess a current TS/SCI Security Clearance


  • Be proficient and knowledgeable on the various intelligence assets at the national and theater level
  • Possess strong communication and negotiating skills


The duties of this position are performed in a climate controlled office environment. International travel and overnight stays will be required.
