Operations Supervisor, Janitorial Services – Fort Sill, OK (Job ID# 13180)

Fort Sill is located near Lawton, Oklahoma, about 85 miles southwest of Oklahoma City. It is designated as a National Historic Landmark and serves as home of the United States Army Field Artillery School as well as the Marine Corps' site for Field Artillery MOS school, United States Army Air Defense Artillery School, the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade, and the 75th Fires Brigade. Fort Sill is also one of the four locations for Army Basic Combat Training. It has played a significant role in every major American conflict since 1869. The base covers 94,000 acres and employs about 20,000 permanent military and civilian personnel.

We are looking for a qualified individual to provide supervisory custodial services at the base.

The Senior Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the janitorial and cleaning activities for the contracted services and insuring Quality Control compliance. This position is responsible for monitoring staff; insuring services are performed to the highest industry standard with efficiency and, providing operational updates to the Program Manager. This position is also responsible for coordination and communication with client representatives.
Essential Duties and Responsiblities Include the following:
• Provides strategic advice and recommendations to the Program Manager in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new or modified operating policies, practices, and procedures
• Provides professional consultation and leadership to all staff and serves as the functional expert on all matters relating to contract requirements
• In conjunction with the Program Manager establishes and implements short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement
• Analyzes, designs, documents, and implements internal reporting systems and procedures for the operation
• Develops and/or coordinates the implementation of training programs for personnel within the organization regarding the nature and application operating policies and procedures.
• Is the Quality Control specialist ensuring the Quality Assurance staff maintains the highest standards of cleanliness of the contracted installation
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
• Ensures the productivity of personnel with regard to work performance and expectations of cleaning standards
• Maintains time schedules for staff and prepares performance evaluations according to established procedures.
• Monitors support staff to ensure supplies and equipment are properly budgeted, requisitioned, accounted for, and maintained
• Established a preventive maintenance schedule for all cleaning equipment and fleet vehicles
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Supervisory/Management Authority
Is the first supervisory tier below the Program Manager.
Supervises and mentors all QA/Field Supervisors. Provides input towards hiring/firing/performance decisions.

• Education and/or Experience
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (any field) and 3 years of related experience. Minimum of 5yrs supervisory experience required.

Knowledge , Skills and Abilities
• Must have knowledge of quality control/quality assurance programs, process analysis, and management principles
• Basic computer skills with working application of Microsoft Office products
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills required to manage a staff of approximately 100 employees
• Inventory and expense control as well as maintaining labor standards and guideline
• Maintain a positive professional working relationship with management and co-workers.
• Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.
• Advanced analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills.
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
• Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional personnel in area of expertise.
• Must have valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
