The United States Department of Agriculture, also known as the Agriculture Department, is the U.S. federal executive department responsible for developing and executing federal laws related to farming, forestry, and food.

 

USDA is looking for Oracle Systems SME or Professional Engineer to support the agency’s mission. Telecommuting is allowed.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist USDA to move first copy and 20x tape drives from APFO to KC
  • Reconfiguring the current KC environment to look like APFO (minus QFS LDOM without IB and VMware)
  • Assist USDA in loading the first copy and 20x tape drives that were sent from APFO into the new KC environment
  • Configuring (naming) the new HSM instance FPAC (APFO this year and NGCE next year)
  • Assisting USDA in loading the final copy and metadata on a date determined by the Client
  • PS Engineer will be responsible for performing all power up procedures in KC
  • PS Engineer will bring the file system and archive back online.
  • PS Engineer will verify that all systems (STA/HSM/SL8500/ZS3/Fiber Switches) are running as designed.
  • PS Engineer to hand the moved systems over to Client for their end user testing.
  • PS Engineer to hand the production ready systems over to Client.
  • PS Engineer will build a Run Book that documents the moved system's cabling and configuration.
  • Professional Engineer will capture the current configuration of trays so that they can be reconfigured identically later.
  • Professional Engineer will confirm that all data has been removed.
  • Professional Engineer will remove LUN allocations to servers.
  • Professional Engineer will delete LUN’s.
  • Professional Engineer will delete Domain.
  • Professional Engineer will confirm the trays are clean.
  • Oracle FE will power down the trays and reinstall into a different FS1.
  • Professional Engineer will create Domain and create LUN’s.
  • Professional Engineer will allocate LUN’s to servers.
  • Professional Engineer will assist Client with moving data back to the trays as requested by Client.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 8+ years of IT Related Experience
  • 5+ years implementation and support experience with Oracle Service Cloud
  • 5+ years’ experience in JavaScript, PHP, Shell Scripting, APIs, .net for BUI
  • A working knowledge of call center or contact center operations and processes including general knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and web technology
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in developing Oracle Service Cloud custom add-ins, events, portal frameworks, configurations, workspaces and reports
  • Basic understanding of oracle business suite Order management, customer master, pricing
  • Experience with Oracle HSM, Storage and ZS-3
  • Telecommuting is allowed with travel to Kansas City
  • Citizenship is required
  • Travel will be required
