Summary:

CNSP is looking for Part-Time Role Players that are personnel integrated into military scenarios using real military weapons, equipment and vehicles in a multitude of situations such as hostile forces, ambushes, sniper, friendly forces, police, terrorist, and etc. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • OPFOR personnel will at times be engaged in physical contact as required for training scenarios, where Role players will at times be engaged in physical contact as required for training scenarios. 
  • Role players may be required, dependent upon position within the exercise scenario, to operate Government owned or rented vehicles (HMMWV, Pick-up trucks, Vans, Stake-bed/light duty trucks). 
  • Other duties will consist of personnel integrated into military scenarios using real military weapons, equipment and vehicles in a multitude of situations such as hostile forces, ambushes, sniper, friendly forces, police, terrorist, and etc.
  • Shall arrive at specific locations as determined by the government and coordinated by the full-time role players.
  • Shall act as cultural, foreign language speaking and detainee role players as assigned by the Lead Role Player.

Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position will not have supervisory or management authority

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain a NACI clearance.
  • Candidates will be subject to a US federal background investigation meeting the requirements for access to classified information and favorably pass a drug screen.
  • Candidates must have a valid US driver’s license.
  • Shall have moderate/adequate experience (2 or more years) performing this type of work within or for the Department of Defense or specific military services.
  • Moderate/adequate language and cultural skills and knowledge are required, with preferred native background from USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). 
  • More extensive language/cultural ability can be substituted for experience. 
  • Operational experience in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) or other combat operational environments as an interpreter or other function is also preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Shall have adequate knowledge of Afghanistan and Iraqi cultures, social norms and at least a general understanding of others within the USCENTCOM AOR.

 

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily performed in a secured federal and/or military installation office setting, a controlled office environment as well as working outside in a field environment.
  • All Role Players shall work outside in all types of weather (e.g., heat, cold, rain, snow).  These positions require long periods of standing and walking.
