CNSP is looking for a Planner-Senior to support the Program Management Office (PMO) at Tyndall AFB, Panama City, FLA, in rebuilding the base after Hurricane Michael by turning the new $3B master plan into a portfolio of ready-to-award-construction project packages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Candidates must have construction planning experience to provide coordination leadership supporting the USAF MILCON and Facility Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) programs in support of the rebuild effort. 
  • The candidate will perform a broad range of planning/scheduling functions for a variety of design and construction projects focused on government contract compliance.
  • The candidate selected for this position will perform a broad range schedule review and advisory/assistance for AFCEC design and construction projects at across the USAF. 
  • Analyze project metrics for cost, schedule, and quality control performance.
  • Collects and analyzes information used to plan and schedule construction projects.
  • Generates forecasts, variance reports, and other documentation used to monitor and manage projects.
  • Researches and reports on economic, legal, and other factors that may affect project success.
  • Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects and the reduction of issues due to scheduling errors.

Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position will have supervisory or management authority unless delegated.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and have an active and current DOD security clearance (NACI).
  • All selected applicants will be subject to a U.S. Federal Government security background investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and favorably pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Candidates are required to have as a minimum a Master’s degree from an accredited discipline college/university in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field.
  • A Minimum of ten (10) years of construction planning professional experience is required.
  • Experience with the USAF MILCON and FSRM programs is highly desired.
  • Professional licensure, registration, or certification is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with standard planning and scheduling methodologies and tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Utilizing and applying computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) design and construction policies, standards, and specifications to include Facility Sustainment, Repair, Modernization, and MILCON programs.
  • Familiarity with United Facilities Codes and United Facilities Guideline Specifications.

 

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily performed in a secured federal and/or military installation office setting, a controlled office environment as well as working outside in a construction site field environment.
