CNSP is looking for a Procurement/Administrative Professional-Journeyman to support the Program Management Office (PMO) at Tyndall AFB in rebuilding the base after Hurricane Michael by turning the new $3B master plan into a portfolio of ready-to-award-construction project packages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a professional with construction industry experience to provide procurement and administrative support to the USAF MILCON and Facility Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) programs in support of the Tyndall AFB rebuild effort. 
  • Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and related workers involved in purchasing materials, products, and services.
  • Monitor inventory stock by observing whether the appropriate items have arrived and determine what needs to be reordered.
  • Maintain awareness of low supplies and issue purchase orders in advance of stock running out.
  • Work with suppliers to negotiate material and order costs, and compile cost reports for invoices.
  • Prepare purchase orders and send order requests to suppliers.
  • Update records and follow up with vendors to check if orders are being processed.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve issues through building strong relationships with key contacts within these companies, working with them closely to fix problems as quickly as possible.
  • Update and file records by performing inventory and administrative tasks like preparing and forwarding invoices, updating databases, filing, and organizing documents for accounts.
  • Also, provide additional administrative support as needed.

 

Supervisory/Management Authority:

  • This position will not have supervisory or management authority.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and have an active and current DOD security clearance (NACI).
  • All selected applicants will be subject to a U.S. Federal Government security background investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and favorably pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • As a minimum, a Bachelor’s degree is required in the respective fields of procurement, business administration or other related fields of knowledge
  • Three (3) to ten (10) years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience with the USAF MILCON and FSRM programs is highly desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Utilizing and applying computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) design and construction policies, standards, and specifications to include Facility Sustainment, Repair, Modernization, and MILCON programs is desirable.

 

Work Environment:

  • This position is primarily performed in a secured federal and/or military installation office setting, a controlled office environment as well as working outside in a construction site field environment.
