SUMMARY

The contractor shall support U.S. Government representatives in all stages of the award process to ensure efficient and accurate communication with grantees/implementers. The contractor shall have the technical ability for activities including, but not limited to, communicating with the grantee during the pre-award phase on behalf of the Grant Officer (GO) and Project Officer (PO), organizing meetings between POs, GOs and grantees, providing technical assistance during award execution, assisting with award closeout, working on grant compliance activities, assisting in grant reviews or other inquiries, and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • The following PDS skills are preferred: A demonstrated knowledge of and relevant experience designing and managing activities related to international affairs. Familiarity with U.S. Department of State structures and processes, including experience working domestically or overseas at a U.S. Embassy or in the Peace Corps.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral) and experience in accessing, designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programming, is preferred. Experience working with the Middle East and Northern Africa.
  • (MENA) region, Iran, other relevant countries and/or relevant language skills, a plus.

EDUCATON AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Expected be experienced PDS with significant knowledge of U.S. Government foreign policies and demonstrated relevant qualifications.
  • The PDS IV candidate will possess skills, including excellent interpersonal, writing and organizational skills; significant attention to detail and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to gather and maintain information, exemplified decision-making, teamwork and attention to detail.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 Controlled climate office environment.
