Job Description:

Program Design and Support Specialist (PDS) will assist with project and program design, development and management. Tasks may include conducting research and analysis on policy and programmatic trends; consolidating volumes of data to draft concise briefing papers, talking points, public affairs documents, supporting outreach activities to the U.S. Congress, media and other public stakeholders. Review quarterly reports and grant documents; assist in program and budget tracking; analyze quantitative and qualitative data related to projects awarded and other assigned tasks in support of U.S. Government foreign policy initiatives.

Supervisory/Management Authority:

This position does not have mgmt. authority or supervisory capacity

Education and/or Experience:

  • The following PDS skills are preferred: A demonstrated knowledge of and relevant experience designing and managing activities related to international affairs. Familiarity with U.S. Department of State structures and processes, including experience working domestically or overseas at a U.S. Embassy or in the Peace Corps.
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral) and experience in accessing, designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programming, is preferred. Experience working with the Middle East and Northern Africa.
  • (MENA) region, Iran, other relevant countries and/or relevant language skills, a plus.
  • Expected be experienced PDS with significant knowledge of U.S. Government foreign policies and demonstrated relevant qualifications.
  • The PDS IV candidate will possess skills, including excellent interpersonal, writing and organizational skills; significant attention to detail and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to gather and maintain information, exemplified decision-making, teamwork and attention to detail.
  • Education: Masters or Bachelors with 2 years’ experience
  • ACIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED

This position is performed primarily in a secured federal office setting.
