SUMMARY

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides administrative, research, and technical support for the Community Preventive Services Task Force. Support is provided by the Community Guide Branch, Division of Public Health Information Dissemination, Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology and Laboratory Services, Office of Public Health Scientific Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following (Other duties may be assigned):

• Effectively use project management best practices, monitoring systems, and software to analyze and interpret data, generate reports, identify potential issues, and present them to leadership.

• Facilitate process and provide consultation on developing criteria for performance measurement and indicators for monitoring and evaluating the Branch’s activities.

• Work with the Deputy Branch Chief and staff to develop the Project Management Plan and SharePoint reporting system.

• Maintain the Project Management System; provide monthly progress reports on status of milestones and deliverables.

• Work with Deputy Branch Chief and staff to develop and implement the Share Drive structure. Provide documentation on structure and an implementation plan.

• Assist in cost analysis and managing budgets for the Branch. Develop funding scenarios for cost analysis and budget projections.

• Analyze overall budget projections and expenditures, and document and report areas of concern.

• Develop and execute standard operating procedures for operational policies, documentation, and training for business, policy, management, and technology work streams.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Proven track record of successful project/program management, strategic planning, performance measurement and evaluation.

• Demonstrated expertise in conducting budget analysis and preparing budget reports.

• Proficiency using MS Project, Office Suite, and SharePoint.

• Experience managing Federal government contracts. CDC project management experience is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a climate controlled office setting.
