The services provided under this contract support the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Division (AFHSD), Public Health Directorate, of the Defense Health Agency (DHA).  AFHSD’s mission is to provide timely, relevant, actionable, and comprehensive health surveillance information in order to promote, maintain, and enhance the health of military and military-associated populations.  The Project Coordinator supports the Senior Program Manager by performing managerial and administrative duties associated with the AFHSD program.



  • Address Military Services oriented contract and program management requirements
  • Support contract service delivery processes, actions and tracking requirements.
  • Faciltate hiring actions including coordination with recruiting and setting up interviews.
  • Coordinate with corporate offices to initiate, facilitate and complete required actions.
  • Provide responsive support to customers and staff to ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor contractual deliverables in partnership with Program Manager and Technical Leads.
  • Monitor quality assurance and control activities.
  • Use MS Excel to track program funding, invoices, labor and ODCs.
  • Assist with DELTEK time and CONCUR expense management systems
  • Maintain contractor rosters and personnel staffing lists.
  • Coordinate aspects of foreign travel with corporate resources and staff.
  • Assist with coordinating and planning program events and activities. 
  • Monitor, evaluate and resolve problems related to activities assigned..
  • Review existing procedures and formulate new ones, if required.
  • Identify potential areas for process improvement.



  • None



  • Bachelor’s degree in a financial or business discipline preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • At least six years of relevant experience in a military contracting environment required.
  • Good organizational skills and knowledgeable in project management methods and tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate relevant project information to customer and staff
  • Familiarity with the basic rank structures of the U.S. military services and civil service.
  • Familiarity with the Military Health System and Defense Health Agency a plus.



  • Existing Secret Clearance desired, existing T3 investigation required.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio, and Project.



  • Climate-controlled office during normal business hours.
