The National Park Service (NPS) of the Department of the Interior (DOI), our client, preserves unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.  The Denver Service Center is led by this NPS mission.  As the central planning, design, and construction management office for the National Park Service (NPS), the Denver Service Center (DSC) provides start-to-finish project management and delivery.

 

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Assistant, to help support project management efforts at NPS DSC.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Provides technical administrative assistance to Quality Assurance group.
  • Log projects into the QA review system.  Ensure all required documents are provided. 
  • Enter new projects on the QA Tracking Form spreadsheet and electronically file completed reviews in appropriate directory.
  • Package QA review comments and deliver to Project Manager.
  • Email project reviews to off-site contractor reviewers. 
  • Completes project forms, filing, and archiving.
  • Maintains general and electronic office files, logs, and records.
  • Creates, updates, and revises spreadsheets.
  • Interacts with project management teams, QA team members, and other staff on a daily basis. 
  • Completes all work within required deadlines. 
  • Performs other job related duties as required.

 

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

  • No management of others or supervisory roles

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Education:  Formal higher education towards a certificate or degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or similar.
  • Minimum Experience:  Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the construction industry, architectural/engineering fields or similar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Interpersonal communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office environment inside of a federally secured facility
