The purpose of the task order is to provide professional service employees to ensure the Department can perform essential functions during a crisis while protecting employees, assets and services.  Additionally, this approach seeks to leverage linkages among various internal and interagency related functions as part of a more comprehensive and coordinated approach to ensure the Department’s ability to operate under a wide-range of circumstances.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

  • Provide leadership to meet deliverables
  • Provide general program and project management for the development of planning documents, briefings, project scheduling, status reporting, and program outreach in compliance
  • Prepare issue papers, meeting summaries, and other documents as required under general program management
  • Prepare and distribute to the COR a monthly status report on the activities
  • Maintain oversight of contract team.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATON AND EXPERIENCE

Experience in managing multiple schedules/priorities and ability to be flexible to shifting priorities.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite products
  • Contracting regulations.
  • General Emergency Management concepts.
  • National level policy, including the Post-Katrina Emergency Management Reform Act of 2006; Executive Order (E.O.) 12656, Assignment of Emergency Preparedness Responsibilities; National Exercise Program; National Security Presidential Memorandums, and the suite of deliverables in the formerly known as Presidential Policy Directive -8 National Preparedness
  • Public/community messaging strategies.
  • Applying project management methodologies to accomplish tasks.
  • Knowledge of MS SharePoint.
  • General MS Excel (or other applications) spreadsheet utilization to capture and analyze data.

Supervisory/Management Authority:

This position does not have management or supervisory authority.

This position is performed primarily in a secured federal office setting.
