The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center Technical Information Management Branch supports the USCG missions through the acquisition, development maintenance and distribution of current and accurate technical information and data.

We are seeking a Project Manager Electronics Drafters (Technical) to support the U.S. Coast Guard’s Surface Forces Logistics Center’s Electronics/Ordnance Branch by managing 20 contract employees performing Reliability Centered Maintenance analysis, Maintenance Procedure Card and associated maintenance documentation development and Engineering Change and Time Compliant Technical Order management.

 

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage assigned workload of assigned RCM analysts and MPC developer and Engineering Change/Time Compliant Technical Order personnel and assign completion dates.
  • Provide a quality control program that produces high quality RCM and MPCs in accordance with Maintenance Procedure Development Process Guide CGTO-PG-85-230-S, or current version.
  • Manage RCM analysis in accordance with MIL-P-24534A and MIL-STD 3034 when directed by the COR.
  • Manage Maintenance Requirements Lists (MRLs), Lists of Effective Pages (LOEPs), and Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs).
  • Oversee development of publication ready Electronics MPCs.
  • Support the MPC feedback system following the CG-22 process.
  • Consolidate and forward Monthly Status Reports to the COR for approval. Forward Program Manager approved invoices to the COR for approval.
  • Track the number of days required to backfill vacant positions. Provide weekly updates on all vacancies greater than 30 days. Collaborate with the COR optimal personnel requisition descriptions.

Supervisory/Management Authority

  • This position does have management authority or supervisory capacity
  • Responsible for 20 contract employees performing Reliability Centered Maintenance analysis, Maintenance Procedure Card and associated maintenance documentation development, Engineering Change and Time Compliant Technical Order management and analysis and electronics configuration analysis.

Education and Experience

Possess a Bachelors or Associates Degree in management or graduate from a DoD Senior Enlisted Academy. Additional experience can be substituted for a college degree.

 

  • Have at least 10 years of experience in CG electronics or DoD electronics maintenance development.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

  • Hold a current RCM Level-II Maintenance Analyst Certification by the Coast Guard or Naval Sea Systems Command and have at least 10 years of experience in CG electronics or DoD electronics maintenance development.

 

  • Required to hold a SECRET clearance.

 

  • Ability to travel to participate in support of MPC validation whenever it occurs and to visit employees assigned to the CNSP facility located in Chesapeake, VA. Estimated travel is one Chesapeake visit per month and limited travel within a 75 mile range (Washington, DC and vicinity).
